| Why: |
The Komen Hawai’i
Race For The Cure® is dedicated to eradicating breast cancer
as a life threatening disease. Breast cancer is the leading cause
of death of women between the ages of 40 and 59, and in Hawai’i,
especially among native Hawaiians and Filipinas. |
| How: |
- Register as a team
and help us achieve our goal.
- Circulate Race entry forms and information
about the Race.
- Encourage team members to register online at www.komenhawaii.org.
- Be
sure they know exact team name and team captain’s name.
- Send
e-mails to potential team members.
- If possible, publicize the
event through newsletters and through office memos.
- Display race
posters in work areas.
- Remind breast cancer survivors they can
receive special recognition at the race.

| Who: |
Any business, school,
church, organization, neighborhood, family or group of friends can
form a team. |
| Team: |
A minimum of ten people.
The team can consist of runners and walkers in any combination.
Each team member should pay an entry fee. Teams that do not meet
the ten people minimum will be charged the additional fees required
to enter those team members as individuals.
