Sept 29, 2007 The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Hawaii Affiliate is sponsoring "Celebrating Life: A Survivors' Conference" on September 29, 2007 at the Waikiki Beach Marriott between 8:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.
This event is FREE to breast cancer survivors. Cost for Co-Survivors is $25. There will be four Breakout Sessions on topics such as Mastectomy Prosthesis and Wear, Lymphedema, Reconstruction Options, and Questions to Ask Your Doctor. Scouting for the Cure
Hawaii’s girls, their female family members and friends are invited to take part in an assortment of fun activities and projects to learn about breast health awareness. Come join us on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Free to the public and registration deadline is September 21, 2007. Space is limited so be sure to register early!

Travel Pink! Travel Oahu
The Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa, the The Royal Hawaiian, the Halekulani, the Waikiki Parc, Apple Vacations, Pleasant Holidays, as well as Tori Richard and Liquid Mountain have partnered with the Oahu Visitors Bureau in a program - Travel Pink! Travel Oahu - to benefit the Hawaii Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen For the Cure in supporting breast cancer awareness, education and assistance in Hawaii.

Oct 5, 2007 Portraits of Survival
Photographer James Anshutz has been working to reveal that inspired power in breast cancer survivors through "Portraits of Survival", an exhibit featuring photographs of 27 women. The show opens on First Friday at the Cathedral Gallery and Chinatown Courtyard and continues through October at the gallery. Part of the proceeds from the exhibit, generated through sales of the photography and donations from visitors, will go Komen Hawaii.

Place: The Cathedral Gallery, Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace, 1184 Bishop Street
Exhibit opens 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5th during First Friday gallery walk; images will also be on display that night at Chinatown Courtyard.

Everyone will receive a gift with purchase, including a ladies visor with the Komen Logo and a $50.00 gift coupon for a future purchase.
Bobby Jones Shop will also have limited edition women's drivers with the Komen logo and pink shaft. They will donate $100.00 from each club sold for the entire month of October.
